Managing SEO for a single website is complex enough. When you are operating a network of dozens or hundreds of sites, the challenges multiply. Here are the strategies we use at Papeyes to ensure each property in our 191+ domain portfolio ranks well without competing against itself.
Content Differentiation
The most critical rule for multi-site SEO is content differentiation. Each site must serve a genuinely different audience or topic. Our health sites do not compete with our technology sites. Our retail properties target completely different search queries than our media properties.
Avoiding Cannibalization
When two sites in the same network target the same keywords, they cannibalize each other. We maintain a keyword registry that maps target terms to specific properties. If a keyword is already assigned, no other site in the network targets it.
Internal Network Linking
Strategic cross-linking between network sites passes authority and helps users discover related properties. But this must be done carefully and naturally. We only link between sites when it genuinely serves the user, never just for SEO manipulation.
Technical SEO at Scale
Every site in the network uses proper canonical tags, unique meta descriptions, and structured data. We automated technical SEO audits to run weekly across all 191+ properties, catching issues before they affect rankings.
