Building a portfolio of 200+ web properties sounds ambitious because it is. But it did not happen overnight. The Papeyes network grew organically over more than a decade, driven by a simple philosophy: identify underserved niches, build real value, and let compounding growth do its work.

The First 10 Domains

Every portfolio starts small. Our first domains were experiments in different industries: health, technology, retail, and media. The goal was not to collect domains but to test which verticals offered the best combination of audience engagement, monetization potential, and personal interest.

Building the Infrastructure

The real unlock came when we built shared infrastructure. Instead of managing each site independently, we created a unified deployment system, centralized DNS management, and template-based content frameworks. This reduced the per-site cost of operation dramatically and allowed us to scale from 10 to 50 to eventually 200+ properties.

The Network Effect

As the portfolio grew, something powerful happened: the sites began amplifying each other. Cross-linking, shared audiences, and brand trust created a flywheel effect where each new property benefited from the existing network. Today, the Papeyes ecosystem generates collective authority that no single site could achieve alone.

Lessons Learned

The biggest lesson is that quality always beats quantity. We have dropped more domains than we have kept. Every property in the current portfolio serves a real audience with real content. The ones that were just parked or speculative were pruned years ago.
